Question of the Day

The College Board, a new name made up by Educational Testing Service (ETS) oversees the SAT. They are trying to make themselves out to be extremely interested in the education at American colleges and universities. When in reality, they have almost nothing to do with real education. But their test, the SAT (which now stands for nothing), IS still the standard that we are stuck with.

The new kinder, gentler College Board is active in the test preparation business (after decades of saying that students could not prepare for the test - that is because it was originally designed as an IQ or "Aptitude" test). Now of course, everyone knows differently. Preparing for the SAT does make a difference.

So being the greedy, money-grubbers that they are, ETS wants you to pay them for test prep. On their website, www.collegeboard.com, they offer a free SAT question of the day. Once you sign up, it will be emailed to you 7 days each week. Real SAT questions from real SAT test writers & its free.

If they are willing to offer it, then everyone who is taking the SAT should practice these questions.
